Not telling anyone about my diet
Is it just me or is it better not to tell anyone I am on a diet. I have just decided to eat healthier and slowly incorporate exercise. Anytime people find out about my diet they keep trying to tell me which way is better, faster, etc. I've been told to completely abstain from sugar and eat only proteins and vegetables. I have been told to do the Master Cleanse. I have been told that fruits are bad for you. I have been told that fruits are good for me. which is it???!!!!! It's annoying. i would rather not get everyone's opinion.

I'm not an expert, but I've read a little. I read an article that explained you should NOT tell people about your goals, or plans.
It's kinda like . . . if you tell them, they are impressed, now you're off the hook. If you don't tell them, you still have to work to achieve your goal.
I know that's a lame explanation, but it's something like that.0 -
People know about it, but I don't make it a point to bring it up or boast about my own goals. I will discuss what I'm doing if they ask, though, & try to just smile & nod when I get advice on things I don't agree with. Do what works for you. (:0

I don't tell most people, and most people don't talk about it . . . but I have had a lot of people say things like "It looks like you've lost a lot of weight." Then I reply with "Thank you for noticing, I've been working at it."
That's about as a far as it goes.0 -
Everyone knows I am trying to get back to my pre-baby body. My mom is kind of the critizing type. She mentions my weight and how much I need to "lose that fat and be pretty again" on a dialy basis, so I always talk about my workouts and my goals of losing a crap ton of weight jsut to shut her up.0
