Hi all
I think this app is great, its making me accountable and easy to keep track. Love how when you add your excercise you get extra cals. Im a married white scottish female (41) I ballooned up to 15 and a half stones, lost 2 and a half over a year but finding it hard to come down from 13. I love zumba and pilates and am on day 11 of 30 day shred, although I have had to take a break of almost a week as my daughter was in hospital. On my newish Salter scale ( not digital ) I am varying between 12 and a half and 13, so I think im gonna get rid of them and find some digital ones.
Im not on any specific plan, but I did have great success with Atkins a few years ago, so im trying to cut down (not eliminate) carbs and up the protein. I hate having breakfast and I think thats where I may have been going wrong for so long as sometimes I would not eat until lunch. So for the last week or so I have been having a low cal meal replacement shake (sculptress/slim fast) first thing in the morning which I can tolerate . On weekdays I am sticking to my homemade tomato soup and & for snacks (I am a serious chocoholic) I am having atkins bars and fruit. If anyone is following the same kinda route Id like to hear from you as most of my friends are doing their own things (weight watchers etc) and that hasnt worked for me. So hi!

Good morning. Add me if you want. I am 41 years old and recently diagnosed with diabetes. I need to lose some weight and get healthy for me and my family!
Hooray for being here and taking care of us!0 -
Add me if you like, i'm 40yrs old and have currently lost 23Kilo's since February 22nd, i too was a breakfast misser and infact ate alot less during most of the day and got upto 111Kg's around 17.5 stone.
I was also diagnosed with Type 2 Hypertension (high blood pressure) and was on the verge of a heart attack or stroke at any point, those things have completely changed around so it's possible, i'll be there for you every step of the way, i'm on here every day too
as for scales, as much as you want to, scale weight doesn't tell you what's really going on, i have a set of Weight Watchers biometric scales and they tho more accurate still seem to show no change yet visually i had a lot of change.
Weight Watchers, Lean Cuisine and the like are bogus. they may work in the short term but in the long run you'[d be worse off.
ever looked at the stuff from them? it contains fewer calories and fat yes, but to replace that they put far more salt and sugar into the recipies which is worse then not being fat free. They intentionally keep people hooked and needing to diet so they get money0
