Low Calorie Honey BBQ Chicken Bites (pic!)
-8 oz boneless,skinless chicken breast
-1/4 cup wheat flour
-1/8 teaspoon salt
-1/8 teaspoon pepper
-1/4 cup of BBQ sauce (45 calories or less per 2Tbsp)
-1 tablespoon of honey
-1 teaspoon of Frank's Hot Sauce
-1 egg (can use 2 tablespoons of egg substitute)
-garlic powder to taste
1. Preheat over to 350.
2. Spray cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
3. Cut up chicken into about 16 bite size pieces.
4. Crack egg in bowl and scramble.
5. Put flour, salt, and pepper in a different bowl. (Large enough to coat chicken in.)
6. Coat chicken pieces with the egg, then fully coat the chicken pieces with the flour mixture and place it on pan.
7. Cook for 10 minutes, then take it out of the oven and flip the pieces. Cook for 6 more minutes.
8. In separate bowl, combine honey, BBQ sauce, garlic powder and Frank's hot sauce and whisk together.
9. Once chicken is done, dump the chicken in the bowl of sauce and stir. Then enjoy!
(TIP: 1 teaspoon of Frank's makes this a bit spicy. I used only a half a teaspoon to cut back the heat)
Serving size: 8 pieces, 250 calories.
