I love salmon love love love it! Grilled and baked only though I try to avoid fried anything these days for obvious reasons. But the price of salmon here is about $8/lbs ... I love tuna as well and well tuna in a can is a hobo's price so can't go wrong there.
What are some other good fish? Right now my market has Pollock on sale for dirt cheap but never had it. I'm not to found of Ocean Perch. Any suggestions on a good fish meat and some tasty ways to zest it up?

Cod is a decent white fish. You can prepare it any way in the world and it's good. Since it's a mild fish, it takes on the flavors of what you cook it with.
It's pretty good if you sprinkle it with salt-free taco seasoning and cajun and top it with some sliced jalapenos, salsa, and low fat shredded cheese. Depending on the size of the fish, I usually bake at 360 for 14-ish minutes. Goes well with mexican-prepared quinoa.
[Edit: I also sometimes eat tilapia/swai. Some people are snobby about these types though, they consider it crap fish. If you like it, go for it. Also, if you have an Aldi's near you, you can get a 5 lb. bag of salmon fillets w/ skin on for about $6. It's not as thick as salmon steaks, but for frequent salmon dinners it's a little more economical- plus it's BAP-certified. A lot of people think that their fish is crappy since it's "cheap".]0 -

No problem! I also bake it this way without the cheese & salsa and put it in soft shell wraps for tacos. Really good too. Top with salsa, cheese, tomatoes, cilantro and black beans.0 -
I have started eating canned sardines frequently. I drain and break up the fish and put it on top if a salad, mix into pasta and veggies, or put on toast spread with avocado and squeeze of lemon. Fresh sardines are great fried or baked simply with lemon and herbs, but can be difficult to find. It's a good fatty fish, like salmon, with a lot of omega 3s and vitamins.0

Salmon, tilapia and swai are all really good blackened which is a fast way to cook it. You can make your own blackening seasoning or buy some at the store. There is a trick to properly cooking it that way. Basically heat the skillet up to the point where the oil/butter mixture begins to smoke, apply the seasoning on the heavy side and cook it a few mins on each side. Its really spicy. Making your own is probably better as you can really lower the sodium. Blackened isn't just from seasoning its the method of cooking it. The spices get charred giving it that unique flavor. Really good with a basic mango salsa0
