    Short answer - Recommend against.

Longer - years ago I used some; they didn't help much.
  • if you're gonna buy them - you may as well rip your money or put them in the shredder - same thing

actually - i'll take it and give you some placebo pills =D
  • There are tons and tons of stories of people who get addicted to these pills, with horrible side-effects that the bottles never list, including but not limited to seizures, hair loss and other medical conditions that occurred after using them.

That said, diet pills are not the answer. They offer a short-term solution to a long-term issue. You don't need them to lose weight. They will not help you with a lifestyle change, they're a quick and dirty temporary fix who will do you more harm than good.

I've been taking OxyElite Pro on and off for the last several months. Not sure if they work or not, as I am also on a Ketogenic diet which drops weight pretty quick by itself.

They do make me feel jittery after taking them, which I am not used to as I don't consume caffeine otherwise.

    99% are BS.

An EC stack does work however.

"Diet pills" persay are basically junk...

However, certain supplements can definitely help you decrease fat. Highly recommend that you research:

    1) PES Alphamine
    2) OxyElite Pro

I'm currently using Alphamine in conjunction with working out 6 days a week along with a clean, healthy diet of 40/30/30 P/F/C macros and am seeing better results, specifically around my midsection.

They (non-prescription) range from ineffective to downright dangerous (and some of the prescription ones are even scarier unless becoming a speed freak is your idea of a good time).

Focus on the basics. Eat a well balanced, nutritious diet and maintain a modest caloric deficit to lose weight. Exercise regularly to improve fitness and, in the absence of a metabolic disorder, the weight will gradually and safely come off.

Instead of looking for a short cut, how about looking for a permanent solution to why you gained weight in the first place? If anything, drink black coffee. It helps me suppress appetite while increasing metabolism just make sure you dirnk plenty of water.

They just suppress your hunger. Just workout then half hour later eat chicken and veg and the same will happen :)

    Save your money and time.

Someone once told me to drink black coffee 15 prior to working out as it helps raise your metabolism?
  • Thank you. My weight loss stopped about 3 weeks ago no matter what I do. Just looking for an alternative.

I've lost over 100lbs in just over 10 months by not taking any pills. Cals in less than cals out = loss.

My dad took them for years. Lost 20 pounds, stop taking them, gained back, started to take them again, etc. It came to a point when he had to take more and more for them to work cos his body got used to them. In the end of a day he had to stop cos he started to take too huge doses and he just gained it all back plus some more.

Me never took them. And I'm very much against them. I don't think it's good for your body, they are unecessary drugs after all. Heard some people got bad health problems from that and then there are people who gain weight back after they stop or they doesn't work for them at all. Havent heard much good about them.

It won't have stopped permanently. Don't worry so much, carry on eating well and training and it will start again soon enough.

If you don't like your money you can always send it to me! :)

    Don't do it.

How much are you eating a day?
How much are you working out?

It's normal that at one point after having lost weight for awhile your body will slow down, adapt, adjust and start up again. Weight loss takes time. Be patient, keep working.

I took phentermine years ago. I did loose weight when I took it. But didn't know how to keep it off when I stopped taking it. I didn't learn anything. Taking it may have not contributed to the urterian tumer I had within the 6 mtn period of time that I took it. I have always felt like it was part of the reason that it grew to a size of a grapefruit in 6 months. May not of had anything to do with it but I won't ever take them again. You can do it without pills. It might take you longer you may lose slower but it can be done. Watch what you eat, log everything and work out even it's walking. Good luck
I also gained all of what I lost back and lots more.

You are seeing results because of a calorie deficit and exercise. Not the pills.

Just out of curiousity, how tall are you? I noticed you have a great shape already and that you are really pretty as well. Why are you trying to lose so much weight? Are you extremely short and/or in physical pain caused by weight??

Thought you should knowt that....Anyways good luck with all your goals!!! :drinker:

there is no magic pill to get your weight loss going again, you're going to have to experiment some with your exercise and diet to get the pounds coming off again

after all, with all the money Oprah Winfrey has, don't you think if any diet pill worked she would have already bought it and lost the weight and kept it off?

not pills but some supplements are useful, but you have to research them first. simple things sometimes help, like supplementing with more bvitamns for more energy, stuff like that helped me :)

but there is mostly bitter orange peel, yeber mate, and caffeine in these diet pills. I don't really think they are much good other than making you jittery. for example, the Thermobol has over 400mg of caffine per 4 pills they say take a day. Wow talk about caffeine over load!

Topic is VERY controversial. You want to try them, do so. I've been taking OxyElite Pro for a while and I think it's been helping...physically and mentally. Helps keep you on track and assists with metabolism efficiency and burning fat.

Also, I just started taking a vitamin called Biotin since some of my hair decided it's not gonna grow anymore! lol But...this vitamin promotes healthy hair, nails, skin and also energy and an increased metabolism.

The efficiency of weight loss supplements depends on other habits. You do have to eat moderately and exercise to gain results.

    Good luck!

I worked in a pharmacy and those pills are a heart attack waiting to happen. The main ingredients in some of them are caffeine and pseudo-epinephrine. All they do is increase your heart rate which makes you feel like you have more energy and that the pills are working, and if you have high blood pressure or heart problems/arrhythmia's they can cause cardiac arrest. They also have a ton of bad filler chemicals and there is no law that regulates as to what can or can not be put in them. Seriously, you can do a lot more harm than good.
