    Picnic on the beach.

Being summer, there usually is some kind of free music/band festival;playing outdoor in my area.

Go see a local play in a small theater.

Charter a boat with some other couples you know.

my idea would be to hit the McDonald's drive thru and watch a action or a horror movie at the theater.........that's what I would do but it really depends on ones definition of cheap.......

Could check out your local bars for happy hour. You could compare online, to see what is available and see if it is in your budget.

Hubby and I had an in house picnic! (It's over 100 degrees here)
We curled up on the floor on a comfy blanket and pillows, had some artichoke spinach dip, bruschetta with tomatoes, home made jalapeno cream cheese bacon poppers and some cocktail weenies.
And of course a delicious bottle of pink moscato!

    effing love football...

I'd take him on a stroll, maybe through your favorite part of town, grab an ice cream on your walk (at least you'll burn it off) borrow someone's dog and take it too....I personally love cruising. We cruise neighbourhoods we'd like to eventually move to, check out the realestate, grab a coffee for the tour.

Find a open field in a park maybe, baseball field something like that, bring a blanket and look at the stars. Go to the mall and people watch. Go to a park or by the water if thats near you and play the question game...whats your fav color? number? food? movie? you would be surprised on what you dont know about each other. If you want to go out to eat check for online coupons. Facebook groups a lot of the times have great coupons. Eat at home and go out for dessert.

Not sure what you're into, but my most favorite cheap dates usually involve sitting on a tailgate backed up to the river, radio playing, and talking while fishing! :)

My husband and I go out and find some weird ingredient that neither of us have ever cooked with and then we go home make dinner together. We did it to save money at first but we found we really like the time together.

    Wine tasting
    Farmer's market
Sporting good stores make my husband happy, he like Bass Pro Shop, just go and let him check stuff out or practice archery.
    Bike ride
Find an inexpensive restaurant with a good atmosphere
Take on a project together, like...make a framed chalkboard, or set up a knife throwing target outside.
