(I do plan on making a GP appointment either way, I'm just worried on what it could be at the moment)
So, I've been having a pain on my left hand side, between the very bottom of the ribs to just underneath them. Feels sharp and sometimes like a dull pain. Doesn't hurt any more or less when I breath in deep.
I had my gallbladder removed 5 months ago, which may be relevant. Haven't had any issues since it was removed at all, until now.
Anyone had this before? ANY ideas what it may be? And if you've had your gallbladder removed and you've had the same pain months later, please let me know.
Cheers all.

Does it happen if you have eaten recently? I have heard this from some of my patients who are s/p cholecystectomy as well- but I haven't ever really been given a reason as to why it would be happening..for sure follow up with your PCP.0

I've not had my gallbladder removed but I had the same pain that you are talking about and it was Clostridium difficile or C Diff, I would say more but it is kind of gross, so google it.0

CDiff would have a fever along with really foul smelling diarrhea, and the patient usually becomes extremely dehydrated.0

I'll be sure to make note on when it happens. It's normally fine when I wake up in the morning, and gets worse and worse as the hours go by, which would fit with it being after I've eaten.

I looked about, and as TinyChestnut said, I've not had any of those issues. Thank you for trying to help though.0
