Heart my crockpot!

I don't know what the heck I'd do without my crockpot. It's a huge time saver for me on busy days which is very frequent and I can make loads of high protein meals and throw in some veggies too. Does anyone else rely on their crockpot a lot? What are some of your staple recipes?

Talk about collecting dust. I went digging into my storage a few weeks ago, found my crockpot that I bought about 10 years ago, still unopened in the original box. I took it back and use it all the time now. I dig it very very much.0

Best way to make super creamy hummus without a ton of oil (well, not AS much) is with a crockpot. I love mine.0

Shredded pork and chicken. Chili. Soups ... more soups ... Spaghetti sauce. Beef roasts. Veggie pot with parsnips, turnips and rutabagas - my favorite. Corned beef with potatoes and carrots. Pork roasts. Turkey breast and more turkey breast. Mexican taco or enchilada fillings. (Needless to say multiple size crock pots utilized here.)0

My favorite way to cook. The hubby's probably starting to wonder why he hasn't had a pot roast in awhile, lol.0

I have always cooked dry beans from scratch. They turn out perfect in the slow cooker! I soak a pound overnight, then rinse and refill the crockpot with fresh water. Cook on high for about 3 to 5 hours, depending on which type of bean. They have the best texture! Every weekend I make a couple pounds...today I made a batch of black beans and Great Northern beans. Now I'm all set for the week!0

I love my crockpot, and as a poor/lazy college student, it has really come through for me. I buy a 16 bean soup mix, and just throw out the flavor packet. So I make 16 bean chili. Usually add tomato and onions, sometimes sweet potato. I've made minestrone soup in it. Want to expand its use this year, though!0

I just recently replaced our crockpot of twenty years. One of my family's favorites is white chicken chili. Super simple and always a hit. Chicken, salsa, cheese, beans, garlic...done.0
