Yogurt

I'm wondering if anyone else has the problem with yogurt that it's too...strong, might be the word I'm looking for. Or bitter. I'm trying to start eating yogurt as a snack and have tried a few different kinds (fancy flavors, etc), but they all taste the same to me, really sharp and bitter and just not GOOD.

Has anyone ever "fixed" this problem by adding things to yogurt? Or is all yogurt just kinda like this?

I find this but only with low cal low fat pretend yoghurts. So I eat regular natural yoghurt with a teaspoon of honey and flaked almonds! This sounds like it is WRONG but.... I eat only one it is delicious satisfying around 100/120 cals and no bitter artificial aftertaste or additives ... I choose to eat very few 'diet' light foods rather I try to eat the real thing but less of it..... I used to feel i could eat in quantity coz foods were 'diet' - i never lost the weight of course! My choice but yummy! Good luck
  • Trader Joe's has a yummy strawberry yogurt that is not very sweet and is only 90 calories!

I could NOT stand yoghurt years ago. I too, found, as you just said, that it tasted sharp, bitter and frankly bloody horrible lol.

However, one day, my husband brought home some yoghurts with pieces of peach in and another had bits of pineapple in and I tried one and loved it!!

Now I can eat just plain yoghurt and love the taste.

Try either adding bits of fruit to it to take the sharpness away or just buy the fruit ones so that you get accustomed to the taste.

Yoghurts are so darned good for us, it is just getting used to them.
