I want to renew my MFP vows. :

Hey all. I'm Vanessa. I joined MFP exactly 370 days ago. I really committed myself to a new lifestyle change and did excellent for about 7 months and lost 36 pounds! And it was easy and enjoyable and I felt unstoppable! Then something happened. I don't know what really started it, but a lot has happened to me and my family in the last year: My young fit husband had a heart attack right before Christmas, I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I've been living with a constant threat of being laid off from my job, my son was diagnosed as being "developmentally delayed" (whatever that means specifically who knows) on top of my other son who is special needs from a rare gene mutation, and then to top it off my house got hit by lightning a couple months ago and it destroyed a lot of our stuff. It's been a stressful time. But that's okay. I pride myself on being a strong and resilient person and I don't want to use these things as an excuse any more. I want to find a way to use the stress as a motivator. I think starting fresh with a small group of like-minded strangers might be a good thing to do. I mean, I love my MFP friends, they are wonderful and supportive, but I feel I need something fresh. That's why I'm looking for people who have been on MFP a good amount of time like me who have fallen off the wagon and don't know how to get back on. We could start over together and get to know each other in the process. We could form a group and create challenges to do, daily check ins for accountability, and kick each other's arses (or pick each other up) when we fall. No leaders or administrators, just equals working towards the same goal. Let me know if it's something you'd be interested in.

MFP had to take a temporary back seat to all of the stressors in your life. If there's anything I can do, let me know. I'm still here for you and will be for as long as you'll have me on your friends' list.0

I have also joined over a year ago and lost over 20 pounds and sadly gained almost all of it back! I am needing to get back on track also. Add me as a friend if you would like to help motivate each other!0

I'm starting back @ the beginning as well. Hard getting up after a rough stretch, but it's worth it. We're worth it!0

Well...I've been here over 900 days. I haven't really ever fallen off the wagon, though I did have a hiccup called brain surgery along the way where I gained a couple of pounds back during my recovery. They're mostly gone now (almost 6 months post op). Anyhow, I completely relate to a few of your situations...I spent almost the entire first year I was on MFP in the same state as you at work. I joined here in January 2011 and was laid off from my job in December 2011. There's a link to my story on my profile. Read it if you'd like and send me a friend request as well0
