I've been in similar situations. Rest assured, unless you ate 35000 calories OVER your maintenance you did not gain 10 pounds of fat back.
Just get back on eating right and this will just be a little bump in the road.

    It will be okay.

Eating a lot of restaurant food, cheeses, breads, etc. will cause you to retain water. You've got the right idea and you're taking back control. Give it a few days and you'll be right back where you were before your little food party. :flowerforyou:

We've all done this. The important thing is to stop it and get back to rational eating.

A few days and most, if not all of that will drop off. Junk food causes you to retain a lot of water...lots of sodium and carbohydrates. It's pretty much scientifically and mathematically impossible to gain 10 Lbs of fat over the course of a few days, just as it is mathematically and scientifically impossible to lose 10 lbs of fat in that time.

ok thanks everyone just totally freaked me out. i kinda went crazy past few days. def back on track today. i think that what gets me the most is when people say u dont need a diet u look good. and when people say you need to eat more.. i guess i just let people get in my head. that and i was sad and i went back to my old habit of eatting away the sadness!!! yikes! def learned my lesson.

I totally understand - had a rubbish weekend and have just eaten and eaten and eaten - and all the wrong foods - pizza, chips, chocolate - you name it. Feel horribly guilty and wonder why I self sabotage - boredom and emotional eating definitely. Also - haven't made it to the gym this weekend and I know that if I do exercise I'll keep on track.
Determined to get back on it though and not let this weekend ruin everything that I want to achieve - keep going - we've all done it and probably will do it again - but keep positive and take it one day at a time.
