Not losing any weight.

hey
i've been working out 5 days a week now for about 5 months. i use the elliptical 5 day a week for 25 mins, i go to the gym for weights 3 or 4 times a week, just depends on family life, and the days i cant go to the gym i'll do a 30 min workout video and walk for at least an hour everyday with my puppy. I've lost 11 pounds so far, but i have lost inches which i know is more important in many ways, it just gets hard when the scale isnt moving! just wondering if maybe my body has gone into maintenance mode, its been more then 3 weeks since i lost even 1 pound. ive always had a hard time eating, just not very hungry, but since i started with MFP, and actually tracking what i'm eating it has helped alot, to actually see how little it was, it was hard to get up to 1200cal a day, but i did and now i'm usually up to 1400cal before exercise now, but after exercise it will drop below 1200. should i be making myself eat more? should i be working out harder/longer? i just opened up my diary so please feel free to look through!
my stats are:

29yrs old
5'7
139lbs
thanks

I think you might be eating too little. Nice job on the freggies, though--seems like you are rockin' those, huh? Good luck.

Hi, it doesn't sound to me like your eating enough! working out 5-6 days a week burns a lot of calories and I just feel like you need to increase your calorie limit.
Are you drinking plenty if water? That's a must too for someone who works out that much!
    Hope that helps, Terri

Yes, eat more, eat all the calories MFP gives you. On the other hand, make sure you are really logging everything (for example, you log Raisin Bran for breakfast, but no milk. Are you really eating it without the milk, or forgetting to log the milk as well)

I wouldn't necessarily do more cardio. In fact, you might find better results with a bit less cardio and more weight lifting.

Also, double check the feasibility of your goal. At 5'7" and 139 pounds you are already in a healthy BMI. Maybe focus instead on BF%, meaning you ignore the scale. You can also eat closer to a maintenance level of calories, while lifting heavy, and get the body you want!

    Best of luck!

Yeah, you're not eating enough. Force yourself to eat more (TDEE minus 10%) and give it a few weeks. You don't have much to lose, so you can't really go with a bigger cut. If you want to use the guided settings, set your activity level to a MINIMUM of lightly active (probably higher) and to lose 0.5 lbs per week max. It will take time for your body to adjust so don't freak out for the first few weeks.

I do log everything in my diary, as for water, probably not enough water though, at least 6 glasses a day though. just not sure on how to go about eating more. I know it sounds weird, lol. like in the evenings when im looking at my diary i try to add more to it just to top up my calories. its really hard to force yourself to eat, when your not hungry.

Change up your half hour routine, your body is very used to the elliptical. Make sure the calories you're eating still come from healthy, unprocessed foods.

Choose more calorie dense options during the day and it won't be hard. Full fat or higher fat dairy, a smidge more oil and butter when you're cooking, an extra slice of turkey on your sandwich...that kind of thing. Then you won't be left to stuff yourself at the end of the day.

What are you trying to get to? You are well within a healthy BMI for your height and may be getting to a point your body is thinking it is where it needs to be.

well i guess my goal weight is 135lbs, so its only 4 more pounds to go, but i am happy with this weight as well. I more or less would like to tone and i have a large baby pouch. Three children all by C-section within a 4 year period. I'm kind of thinking that my body has just gone into maintenance mode. and i was told before that when that happens to lower your intake, but i dont want to lower it anymore then it already is!
