I color my hair about every six weeks (home color at that!!), and blow dry and wash every day. I also hardly ever get my hair trimmed (once every 4 months or so), and my ends seem to look alright (I use frizz ease blow dry lotion btw). It looks to me like it's the flat iron you are using. Maybe you should try blow drying with a round brush instead. It will still straighten your hair, but I think it may not be as harsh on your hair as a flat iron is.

coconut oil. cheap, effective, and you can eat it too so it has to be good for you - all natural!

Hi everyone, I'm a bit depressed as I have a constant battle with my hair. I'm white with mostly straight hair that is thicker. (to give idea of hair texture) It is highlighted blonde and red every 7-8 weeks and will be trimmed every time as well.

I have gone to the fancy hair salon and had my hair trimmed properly and left there with great looking hair. I use the hair products they used on me and I straighten my hair with a $250 straightener. I air dry my hair, put heat protectant on it and comb it with a wide tooth comb. I only use heat every other day, on a low heat setting as little as possible just to polish up my hair.

I have no clue what else to do as my ends still look just as frizzy as before the trim............. Should I just chock it up to hair texture? I wish I had the alternative of curly hair as I know that is usually coarse but I have straight hair that should be smooth.

I use Color Proof hair products. I have no idea what else to do and it feels like there is no other options. I also have a problem of my hair being greasy the following day even when I wear a shower cap so I have to wear it up.
doesn't looked frizzed to me or is that just because im a bloke?

As some other people have already said Moroccan oil is amazing for smoothing the ends of your hair as is Argan Oil. I take a supplement called Biotin as well which seems to help strengthen my hair and helps it grow quicker so maybe look into that too?

I put a spot of Olive Oil on my hands and cover my palms with it. Then I wipe the excess off on a towel. Next I run my fingers through my hair and that works wonders on my hair. I too color, trim, highlight and straighten my hair.

I used to have terrible split ends when i wasn't even using a blow dryer. In the past two (?) years i've stopped using shampoo (just use conditioner) and my hair is much healthier. nary a split end and very little shedding. I actually do use a blow dryer on my hair almost every day (just for ~2 minutes to dry it after the shower at the gym). about once a month i deep condition with coconut oil. not sure what it is that made the difference (the coconut oil and/or the no-shampoo) but it seems to work for me.

I was going to say this as well ^^^ Hot iron's can really damage your hair.

I have wavy hair and it gets frizzy, you look like you have split ends. They are two different things.

Frizz is a lot harder to handle IMHO, but almond oil as someone else suggested works great. I would really consider taking a break from all the heat and maybe the coloring too. I haven't cut my hair in over a year, I wash it and use a leave in conditioner. I don't blow dry it or use the hot iron. I air dry it. It helps tremendously with split ends and frizz.. Good luck!

I have curly hair, and my ends are frizzy, too. :( I really don't know what to tell you.. What kind of straightener do you use? I have two. I have the InStyler and a normal Revlon one.... 16ish bucks at Walmart, and I used it on my bangs when they were short. The InStyler didn't frizz my hair that much before, but I've been so busy that I rarely straighten it anymore. Maybe switch heat protector stuff? I have both Tresseme (sp) and Garneir (sp?), I go back and forth with them. I have also heard (and considered) going "no 'poo" helps hair a LOT... but I'm not brave enough to try it yet. lol.
