When setting your calories at your TDEE - 20% Do you eat back your exercise calories too?

    no. you just eat your TDEE -20 every day, exercise or not. you might want to start out doing tdee -10 or 15% and if you don't lose after a few weeks drop it as you might overestimate your activity. i do tdee -10 and still lose and have LOTS of energy :)
  • Well -20 is already more then I was eating based on MFPs set goals so I'm not too worried about no energy. I'm trying to eat alot more protein and veggies too because it was always so hard to eat very much meat and stay under goal.

    no. Either eat your MFP goal AND your exercise calories or eat just your TDEE-20%. They actually work out to be the same when you average the numbers.

    They should work out to close to the same if you've calculated your TDEE properly. A lot of people over estimate their activity level when it comes to TDEE. It relies on the honor system that you really will do that amount of exercise weekly that you say you will.
