Splenda

I am aware that I consume way too much splenda in coffee/tea considering I put about 3 in (sweet tooth, I know) a few times a day. I just love sweet coffee and sweet tea! How can I slowly get myself off this and adapt to enjoying a less sweet drink more?

Slowly decrease the amount you use on a weekly basis. Try 2.5 this week and 2 next week and so on. Have you tried Stevia?

    Big bump -

I only have it in my coffee, but three packets at least three times a day. I'm trying liquid Stevia next to see if it works for me... My mother swears by it in her tea.

I haven't. I don't really know much about it to be honest. How is it different that Splenda? What's the calorie count? Does it taste like Splenda?

Liquid stevia is the best and if you like sweet flavored coffee it comes in a range of flavors. Chocolate, toffee, vanilla, raspberry, lemon (great in water)

I think it is sweeter than splenda. A few drops will work. It has zero calories and is all natural, extracted from a leaf. The taste is different from splenda BUT it is a better choice if you are worried about intaking too much splenda.

Sucralose packets contain maltodextrin as filler, so it usually works to count them as one net carb and whatever calories are resulting from that (~4). Liquid sucralose/stevia/etc. does not contain maltodextrin, as it's liquid, so it's purely zero carb and zero calorie.
