It's such a great feeling today to clean out my closet and shed all those "baggie" clothes that now wrap around me. Although I've not lost the lbs like I'd like, (it could be that I am now in my 60's), I've lost inches and 2 sizes. It's such an awesome feeling to see my clothes that were once "tight" are now "baggie"...so out they go!

I have had several closet purging sessions. It is fun to see just how much you have lost. Don't be over zealous though,. Some things can be taken in!! I still regret the loss of my brown suede skirt.

It is such a great feeling realizing you are not the same person as you were when you used to wear those items. Cheers to health, happiness, and hard work paying off!

I love purging my closet, too! :) Although I agree that making some things smaller is a great idea, as well.

Those are the best days! It helps to show just how far you have some... I actually still have 1 skirt from when I was 289, and I love to put it on just to watch it fall right off  Silly I know, but it makes for a great motivator!

Love the idea. My biggest was a size 16 after my third son 2 yrs ago. I knew I did not want to be at a 16 for a long time so I only bougt two pairs of jeans the rest of my closet is a size 12. Slowly but surely I am getting in to my 12s. Love It. Can not wait till I can say farewell to my 12s.

I just did a mammoth purge. Three HUGE black trashbags of clothes that were too big, outdated, never to be worn again. It was an awesome feeling. Looking forward to the next and final purge!

Congratulations!! I just did a huge purge myself this past weekend and donated 2 huge lawn bags full of stuff to charity. This is the first time I've ever gotten rid of clothes that are too big and it was a little scary, but I know I can keep moving forward so I will not need those clothes again. :flowerforyou:

Congrats!!! Getting rid of clothes is very therapeutic. I've also found making those larger clothes into cleaning rags beneficial ;)

  • Your post caught my attention because I was feeling bloated and at a plateau last night. So I started trying on my jeans & dress pants! They all practically fell off me! At 2:00a.m. (once the big clothes were cleaned out of the closet) I went down in our basement and dug out some clothes that used to be small & tight on me. They all fit & some were even TOOOOO BIG! It gave me the push to wake up with a new view today! Onward to the next goal! Time to turn it up, right?!

It's good to remember where we used to be. It's great to reflect on it & appreciate what we've accomplished!

Thanks for sharing, glad to hear I'm not alone. When I get discouraged with the weight, it's such a great & uplifting feeling to try on smaller sizes. Let's keep going...we are on the right track....better things are ahead for all of us.

It is such a great feeling! Congratulations!

A month or so ago, I did a huge purge. I gave away 2 big black trashbags full of clothes that are too big for me now, and I tossed another big black trashbag (stuff that wasn't fit for anyone to wear anymore). It felt really good to get rid of it all.
