This is going to sound like a really weird suggestion but it works for me-- whenever I get really BAD cravings (for my favorite chocolate and such) and I KNOW that I don't want to account for it/can't afford it based on my calorie intake for the day, I go and brush my teeth. I never feel like eating anything after I brush my teeth. Sounds strange but it does help.
Not so weird, I do this after my evening meal so I am not tempted to eat anything else!0 -
I give in, it only lasts a couple of days and I don't gain any weight but I also don't lose any.0

I will eat one king size hershey almond bar and a glass of soda with it, and savor it. After that I get on the bike and shred it off. Knowing that I just ate a 1000 calories prevents me from doing it the other 4-7 days.0

Keep portion sized "goodies" around for when you have the cravings....don't totally eliminate things you LOVE from your diet. I still eat all the things I want but I COUNT them. You HAVE to. Just realize that when you eat them, something else has to go...pretty soon you have to decide if it's worth it or not. Best wishes to you.0

Brushing your teeth is a great idea, peppermint curbs sweet cravings really fast.
Ive found a handful of pinenuts fills me up really quickly too, so if Im feeling like snacking on something bad, I have those first, and if I still want my treat then Im less likely to eat a huge amount.
Trying to keep up with doing some daily exercise though seems to keep me well under my calorie intake for the day so I havent had to really miss out on much so far. And Im enjoying my treats more cos Ive earnt them!!0
