Ok so, I started the MFP a few months back and really didn't keep up with it and eventually I just stopped it. Gaining 9 lbs in 4 months...I am thinking to myself that I need to get back on track and loose the weight. I am 38 years old mother of 2 boys (ages 9 and 6). I work a full time job (desk job by the way) and I am desperate to find some help. I currently weigh in at 262 lbs and am 5'7". I would love to loose 80+ lbs. I have problems with being hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) so when I diet, I often find it hard to keep my sugar from dropping. So I am looking for some help with what foods to eat that will help balance out my sugar and weight. Please feel free to add me, I am looking forward to meeting new friends.

Okay, I'm VERY interactive here and I'd be glad to add you if you are too! =)) I also work a BORING desk job and I'm 5'7!! It's helpful (and completely doable) to lose weight while eating your fave foods - in moderation!! There's no food-eliminating in my diet! It's a lifestyle change...

I simply eat 3 meals a day until I 'feel' full and try not to eat otherwise. Then, I'll walk or mow the lawn for 30 mins a day, 5-7 days a week. I've lost 49 lbs doing this. =)) It's not hard, it just takes dedication.

Sending you a request... Good luck!!

I hear ya. I'm also 5'7" and I've lost about 50 pounds. Personally, Ilike to eat every few hours. I find that it helps me avoid those wild fluctuations in hunger. And, I eat a ton of protein and relatively few carbs.

You can definitely do this!!!! We are all here for you!

ME ME ME!!!!! I m here too. Mother of 2, one is going away to college and the other is 15. I just started DOC DIET 2.5 months ago, but Iam looking for friends too. I think I am doing well, just could use some social aspect along with it. I dont work as of right now. I swim everyday with the Masters and it helps tremendously. I ve lost 30 lbs and I cant remember the last time I was this low. I am 257 right now and 5'11'. If you need another friend, I am here for you. We can do this together!!!

One pointer I can give is be faithful to log what you are eating....That makes a huge difference.

It's all about the choices you make. I that you really have to get to the point where you want it. Sugar is every where. It has been my problem for years. Until you learn what foods make sugar you are always going to be stuck. I read the Wheat belly diet and the flat belly diet both are carb and sugar targets. I have been on it for a little over a month and have lost over 30 pounds and 8 inches now around my waist. If you need help just ask. Feel free to add me. Be warned I find lots of things funny.

I think we all try to lose weight and most of us lose some, and then lose focus. I never thought losing weight was a difficult thing to do, until I became overweight. To all of you who have stuck it out and kept it off I congratulate you on your dedication.

I am 40, mother of 1, working full time and I could use all the support I can get. In return I hope I can encourage you on this journey to a healthier lifestyle. If you can use another friend, I am willing to give my support.

I also work a desk job, and have two (soon-to-be) step-sons who are 6 and 7. I'm 5'8'' and my diary is open! I can try to give support :) You can do this, and what reallllllly helped me was making sure to log in every day. It truly has become a habit. As soon as I eat or exercise, I log it into MFP via the app. Even if you don't log everything at first, try to get online and read through the forums here and do research. It helps!
  • I'm gonna add you too! I don't have too many friends on MFP so I'm also looking for some support!
