calories and weight lifting

anyone know how I can calculate calories burned through intensive weight lifting doings legs one day and arms the next

You can enter strength training under cardio for a calorie burn estimate. I don't know how accurate it is, but since exercise calorie estimates are always a little iffy the best thing to do is track your progress for awhile and see whether it seems accurate for you. Then adjust as needed.0

Calorie calculators are pretty accurate at increasing your TDEE depending on what you put in for physical activity.

Calorie burns in general are very hard to gauge, and burns from lifting are probably the hardest. IMO, pick a number (something like 5 cals per minute) and use that method for a month or so. Then compare your expected results with your actual results and tweak at necessary.0
