Ok I burned 600 calories today (high impact aerobics and then swimming) and I don't want to use my exercise calories...I just want to burn that fat!! However, I want my low fat ice cream.....mmmm...chocolate fudge.....
I have enough calories under my usual calories left in the day, (ive been a good girl today), but I don't have enough fat grams left. (I couldn't believe the olive oil on my fish and zucchini was a whooping 14 grams!) It would put me over. What should I do??? I have to reward myself with something nice at the end of the day for all my hard work.

Eat the ice cream! I have gone over my fat total several times while staying under my calorie total and I have lost weight steadily0

Thing is you get to eat all of those excercise cals. You need to really trust this system. it WORKS! I swear. I never used to eat my excercise cals, but I have lost so much since I started doing it! Go for the ice cream, sounds YUM.0

Eat it. From what everyone has been saying here, you are supposed to eat those exercise calores. Sometimes I feel guilty when I do, but if Banks says it's what you're supposed to do....0

I have finally started losing weight since eating my calories. I was skeptical about the system at first too, but TRUST it. You will lose weight!! What I have learned from MFP is you HAVE to eat your excercise calories...now MFP aren't I a good student??0

Ok I believe you, but....I don't get it. So I burned off 600 calories today and they want me to eat it back into my system again?? That makes no sense to me. Can anyone explain this? I read on some of the posts that it has to do with your metabolism or something.
So I have 800 calories left for the day if you count in my exercise calories. Now what??? Stuff my face??0 -

Above link to post explains it all0 -
Also, I feel like if you really want something and you deprive yourself from it, you will be more likely to binge later/go back to your old ways. Everything is about moderation!0

Having too high a deficet will lower your metabolism and make it harder for you to lose weight. From everything I've read doctors recommend not loosing more then 1 to 2 pounds a week which is a deficet of 500 to 1,000 Cals. So if your allowed Cals for the day already gives you a high deficet, then exercise adds more to that and you may not be getting enough food to fuel your body.0
