If I eat a cookie, will anyone notice?

Ok, so I'm back to MFP...again. I'm really trying to do it this time. I've lost weight before, gained weight before, and now I just need to learn to lose the weight and keep it off! I'm on it! Add me as a friend, I only have a few and I'm trying to get more support!!

One of my favorite quote that I think applies to many aspects of life, but especially to that ONE cookie you want is

"Day by Day nothing changes, but before you know it nothing is the same"

    Think about it!
  • lol I read the other day "one cheeseburger didn't make you fat, just like one salad won't make you skinny" it's a journey and a process a lot of little choices add up to big results good or bad. So have the cookie today but also have the salad and a nice workout too :)

This is something I have on my monitor at work when I see the IT guys munching on chips, one of my weaknesses, or some lady in the office brings donuts, damn them!

    SELF CONTROL
    1. Stop
    2. Think
    3. What could happen?
    4. Is that what you want?

Before I know it I find myself saying no to the donuts, and quietly cursing their deliciousness, and making sure I always have healthy snacks in the fridge so I won't be tempted to go to the vending machine, and purchase those cheesy flavored Cheetos. Oh, and I drink lots of water if even this doesn't help. lol Funny how we have to "trick" ourselves...

I'll notice. And be jealous, because its a sure bet that even though I just grocery shopped yesterday, my hubby will have already ate all my cookies. Lol

For me, one cookie complains loudly that it's lonely and calls out for buddies, lots of buddies.

It's easier to stop with 0 cookies.

I bake with my daughter every weekend, sometimes cookies and sometimes brownies, and have no intentions of stopping!

So balance your meals and your exercise, and definitely eat that cookie. ;)
