HERE I GO............AGAIN

I have been on and off of this roller coaster far too many times. I had my little one in March. Last week he turned 5 months and I realized that I had not bounced back to my "normal" weight (which was still over weight 195 lbs). I am not new to MFP. I am a sporadic poster at best. I made my mind up on Monday 12 August 2013 that this was my last ride!! I am packing my lunch now instead of going out to eat and I am cooking dinner now, not grabbing something on my way home. I started couch to 5k on Monday also. And let me tell you! Those are the longest one minute runs I have ever done!!! I want to stop so bad........but when I feel myself stopping I pull my shirt out of the rolls in my back and keep on trucking (slowly but those feet keep moving!). I have a goal weight of 160 pounds. I WILL MEET THIS WEIGHT! I have committed to doing this the right way. No more fad diets, pills, or starvation mode! My husband is currently in Afghanistan and I want to greet him with a happier, healthier me! And a bonus for me is that my 13 year old son wants to go "running” (and I use this word very loosely) with me today!!!!!

My sentiments exactly. I have not been taking this seriously and on Monday the 12th I decided this was it, I am going to do this! I just decided today that I will start the couch 2 5K. Sheer determination, willpower and support will get us through, WE CAN DO IT! Good luck on your journey. :)

I can't say how many times I've started again, but we MUST keep trying. The alternative is something I just don't want to deal with. It sounds like you're committed and that's the most important thing. And you have kids depending on you to be around for their graduations, weddings and so on... Congrats on your commitment and just keep doing it! You'll get there! :)

I think it's awesome how much focus you have. Even though you have said that your habits are "sporadic" it's still really positive that you admit this and that you're dedicated to change it. That's the first step!
You have one of the most amazing motivation stories that will help you get through, (your husband). I would LOVE to see the look on his face when he gets home and see'e your new sexy body! :P Do this for you and your family, you won't regret it!
    Good luck
