OK, so the plan for the night is to order pizza, we have some friends coming over. :drinker: I have really watched what I ate today so I can enjoy a slice or two without hurting my diet. But any good suggestions on what to order that maybe I can get a lower calorie count.... And I hate mushrooms and Olives, Everything else is great!
Oh I have a gift card for Papa johns and I printed out there calories, but it makes me not want to order it now. :frown:
Maybe I can tell them we don't have food in this house!!! Go eat some place else. He he he.

Oh, I forgot about cheese, I haven't had that in weeks!0

Pizza Primavera is the best, but I don't know if they have it at Papa John's. Its loaded with vegetables.
At Papa Johns, I would get the whole wheat then load it up with vegetables you like.0 -
I love a 'greek' pizza.....feta cheese and spinach! Yummy!0

veggies.. veggeies and more veggies... and then excersise so you earn more calories

Veggies are always good, I always get my pizza without cheese bc I really don't care for it and we have a great local place called Lilly's that does all fresh local produce on their pizzas, I usually go with pizza, no cheese, zucchini, mushroom, green peppers and onions0

If one meal off the wagon will not put you in a downward spiral, I say eat whatever you want just eat less.
I practice an 80% rule that works well for me. About 80% of the week, I am VERY good.
Key words "works well for me".

Wow, I got hungry looking at the idea's. I like the feta cheese idea, but then I checked on calories and that has more than motzerella cheese. Sounds great though. mmm
I usually order on line, but I think I will call them to make the order and see what choices they have and just order a small one for me and then order what everyone else likes normal.
Maybe they offer a lower fat cheese and stuff?
Boy a lot of work to cheat!

Thin crust.
Hawaiian or anything loaded with veggies.
Try to avoid sausage, beef, extra cheese, and pepperonies...
They are loaded with fat and usually sodium.0 -
I agree! I love the Fit and Lively Pizza from Pizza Hut as it has less cheese but yummies. I'd look at a thin and crispy, ask for light on the cheese and load it with lots of veggies and jalepenos for zing!!!0

Definitely go easy cheese and for Papa John's, try the whole wheat crust...it is to die for! Go with the veggie pizza on whole wheat...soooo good. It doesn't seem greasy at all!0

A few months ago I had 400 calories left for the day and I thought oh does a thin crust pepperoni individual pizza from Donatos(a local pizza place, not sure if they are every where) sounds sooooo good and I decided to check the calorie count and good grief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 650 calories for the stupid thing!!! So I took 100 cal english muffin with tomatoe sauce some garlic salt and 2% cheese put it under the broiler until golden brown and for 150 calories I was much happier I guess it just the choice one needs to make
The best to all :drinker:0 -
What a great idea!! I happen to have some whole wheat english muffins that need to be eaten (tired of eating them for b-fast) before they go bad...and wouldn't you know it, I have some leftover pizza sauce too. Thanks for the idea w/ these, that's my lunch tomorrow!!!! :drinker:0

Thank you so much. I did pretty good I think. I ordered the thin crust, but I forgot to say the wheat. Anyway, I got it with tomatos and bellpepper. I asked for easy cheese also and all in all it was real good. I don't usually like thin crust, but it was good tonight. I am trying to guess the calories now. if a reagular thin curst cheese is 270 calories how much do I cut out for easy cheese?

I haven't looked into the calories of feta since I've started MFP but I do know that when it's on a pizza like that there isn't a whole lot of cheese on it.. They strategically place the feta in a few spots so it's not covering the pizza. I guess it's because feta is a little more costly than mozzerella. hehe.. anyways I'll have to look into it and see how many calories it would cost me because it's one of my FAVORITES and I would hate to have to leave it alone :laugh:0
