yesterday was my first day of Insanity workout and now my muscles are all sore, it's bearable, however, I have a sharp pain in my left thigh (quad) every time it tenses up. it's different from the general soreness the rests of my body have (and what I usually experienced). how to make it go away as soon as possible? it's only painful when I do stuff like jumping jacks/squats/etc, not when I'm just walking/moving in general.

  • First thing to do is give it rest. If it still hurts after two days then you may need to see a doctor. In the mean time I would get some over the counter muscle soreness medicine. Like Voltarin or something like Tiger Balm which will stop the soreness. A good supplement to take after your workouts to help that soreness with be 5g of Micronized Glutamine

does that mean I can't exercise for couple days? I've just gained several lbs, I just don't feel like resting. I tried to do some of the insanity moves to test if I could do it and my shoulders are now hurting, ouch :(

the problem is I don't know how to get that supplement (not living in the US), will eating certain foods help? I have Tiger Balm though so I'll use it.
