does anyone have any recipies for home made stir fry sauces? that are healthy and not full of sodium?

    Nope. The best I can do is low-sodium soy.

    1 tablespoon bottled minced ginger
    1 tablespoon bottled minced garlic
    2 tablespoons lower-sodium soy sauce
    1 1/2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1 tablespoon dark sesame oil

    Not very sweet, add more sugar if you want more teriyaki-ish taste. I also add a little more red pepper.

    Here's my go-to favorite:

    I heat up a bag of frozen stir-fry veggies, 1 can of chinese veggies (drained), 1 can of water chestnuts (drained), then pour the following sauce. I know stir-fry is supposed to be quick-cooking, but after I pour my sauce on, I like to keep it on the heat for about 5 minutes, stirring the sauce around and letting it soak in to the veggies.

    Whisk together:

    1 tsp ginger
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tbsp light agave
    4 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tbsp ponzu sauce
    1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
    1 tsp corn starch

    I usually just throw together a combination of equal parts BBQ sauce, worcestershire, red wine or apple cider vinegar, chicken bouillon and minced garlic.

    No real recipes but I usually make a sauce out of these ingredients, I experiment with different combinations and amounts - soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, rice wine, sugar, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili sauce, cornstarch, honey, sesame seeds, etc. I'd suggest getting a bunch of these things and just mixing stuff together to see what you like! And I always sautee my protein/veggies in ginger & garlic.

    Lemon Stir-Fry Sauce

    1/4 cup lemon juice plus 1 tsp lemon zest
    1/4 cup lower sodium chicken broth
    1 Tbsp lower sodium soy sauce
    2 Tbsp sugar
    1 teaspoon cornstarch

    If you add five spice blend to your stir fry you will get a slightly "sweet" taste. I use low sodium soy sauce, ginger, crushed garlic, five spice and crushed pineapple.
    This works for my diabetic husband who loves stir fry. I also add a tiny bit of red chilli but you can add a lot more if you like fire!

    How low in sodium are you looking? I make stir-fry with tofu, and I just use 1 tbsp soy sauce and about 1.5-1.6 tbsp Sriracha. This is the recipe and nutrition info I use:

    I tmade this sauce for dinner last night to serve over a pork & veggie stir fry with zucchini noodles. (original recipe here: http://cupcakesomg.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-most-delicious-meal-ive-ever-made.html)

    Trader Joes - Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, 1 T
    White House - Apple Cider Vinegar All Natural, 0.33 Tbsp
    Trader Joe's - Original Coconut Milk (Unsweetened), 0.5 cup
    Harris Teeter - Almond Butter, 5 tbsp
    Spice World - Minced Garlic, 3 tsp
    Ht Traders - Toasted Sesame Oil, 0.33 Tbsp
    Coconut Secret - Coconut Amino Acids, 3 tsp
    Sicilia - Key Lime Juice Squeezed From Real Key Lime, 1 tbsp
    Amore - Anchovy Paste, 0.33 Tablespoon

    I also added dried ginger, crushed red pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste. This made 5 servings with about 140mg sodium per serving.
