Hello!
I've used the MFP app to count my calories in the past but I have never posted on here before. I think I'm going to need all the support I can get to reach my goal.
My name is Kayla and I live in East Texas. I recently got engaged and now I'm trying desperately to lose weight before my big day next year. I'm 22 and was tiny is high school. I've gained about 50 lbs since graduating and would love to be back to that size. I carry a lot of weight in my face and want to be able to enjoy looking at my wedding photos. If I don't lose weight now, I know ill regret it. I also will graduate college in the spring with my degree in early childhood education. I'm going to need to be in better shape if I'm going to keep up with 20 five year olds! (:
Hopefully having some added support and reading y'all's success stories will help keep me motivated. Any tips or advice is very welcome!
Thanks,
Kayla

Hi Kayla!
I have a similar story! I got engaged in January. Our wedding is going to be June 28, 2014. I used to have a pretty nice body and gained weight not only from college but from being comfortable with my fiance (he gained weight, too). I started dieting back in January and lost about 20 pounds which was awesome, but that was only enough to get me back to my normal college weight. I am still looking to lose 15-25 more pounds to look the way I feel like I should look. I took a break from dieting (I did not go crazy, but I haven't lost in a couple of months because I haven't been cracking down) and I am now looking to start back up and get things going! I just ordered my wedding dress and I want to look amazing! I also would like to lose quite a bit before we start alterations to save on money... If I can lose and be happy I will only have to get it altered once (hopefully!). I would love to have some support and a shared goal! Feel free to add me!

Hi Kayla!
Congratulations on your engagement, first of all!! I joined MFP for exactly the same reason as you about a year ago! I'm now happily married but would still like to continue and lose another 30-ish lbs. I'm here for support if you'd like to add me!
