Hi i'm 26 in a few days and i'm 5'10'' 450lbs. About two years ago I started making drastic changes to my life including a 99% removal of sweet drinks from my life and I started lifting weights again. I have put on a ton of muscle and I've built insane strength. I lift for about one to one and a half hours four to five days a week. In the last two years I have yoyo'd in my weight and approach to how I should eat. In the beginning I began eating exceptionally small portions and drinking only water. I felt miserably tired all the time. Not long after I began to excel in weightlifting and began training for long sessions with high weights and intensity and this made me crave food like I had never before. Leading to quite a few carb binges. Recently I carved out a 3200 calorie a day plan with roughly 300g protein 300g carbs 68g fat. This causes my family a bit of confusion. They seem to think I should essentially be starving myself and exercising many hours a day. On to my post weight loss goals. As I mentioned I have built insane strength and this is an understatement. I very much desire to go on to compete in strongman and powerlifting. So I want to preserve as much strength and muscle mass as possible. However my weight has taken it's toll on my work life and employment is relatively impossible. Despite my activity level and being completely physically able to do anything short of competing in races/marathons. Employers simply don't care and my focus on weight loss has become paramount. I still don't want to neglect my end goals they are very important to me. I've just been reading so much and it seems like the more I know the less I know. People will tell me in the gym I should have to eat 6000 calories to maintain my weight. I've looked into so many caloric needs calculators and I've come to the assumption that for someone at the extreme weight as myself they simply scale out of control. So I decided to take my goal weight of 250lbs and use roughly the maintenance caloric goal of that weight at one tier beneath my actual activity level and this gave me roughly 3200 calories a day. Any input is appreciated.

If I were you--I would join a gym..1-80 fitness is only 10.00 a month and there are plenty of muscle men type people there. And not one of them wouldn't love to help you out and steer you in the right direction. Congrats on the decision to lose

I would seek professional advice on the topic of what you should be consuming given your current size (if that comes off sounding offensive, please accept my apologies in advance). You may be outside normal calculating ranges and I'd hate to see you starving yourself instead of losing the weight you want at a healthy rate.
