Hi everyone! I am not a newby here. I have actually been here for quite some time. I have tried probably every diet imaginable and always willing to try anything at least once. I have done the high protein thing and no carbs and sugar with a huge fail! (I know, I know...just eat right and exercise...I got that.) I read it here all the time. Stubborn me has to always try everything. So...anyway, I went off of myfitnesspal for a little bit, came back, and was sort of quiet about being here so I just stayed to myself. I am finding that it would be really nice to have some friends again that I can encourage as well as maybe me get a Kudo here and there every once in awhile. So... what I am doing is low fat dieting along with juicing twice a day and soon, I am going to be adding back in my exercising. I just want to start losing weight again and I could use some friends who are doing the same. I am just your average person who isn't perfect, by no means, and I do enjoy a beer or a slice of pizza from time to time so I am not boot camp loser here...just looking for some friends to lose with. Thanks!

    Good luck.

I'd hop off the fad diet bandwagon if I were you. Have your slice or two of pizza once a week and go ahead and throw in a couple beers.

But don't expect to get anywhere for long by following a "diet". Eat clean, nutritious meals in moderation and do 45 minutes of hard exercise each day. That's the only long term solution. It's a lifestyle change, and if you don't treat it that way you will soon find yourself quitting whatever diet you tried, and then of course it will be a fail.
  • Thank you. I appreciate your time and response. I happen to be married to a man that has told me that for years. And yes, I am going to do just that. I love my salads and I am discovering that I LOVE TO JUICE! The charge that I get from juicing is amazing! My husband has always told me to eat more fruits and veggies along with more lean meats. These are things that will be a lifestyle change and not so much... a diet. Of course I want to lose about 40 pounds...
    Thank you again...
