Hey everyone, I haven't posted any pics in the forums yet, I usually just post them to my weekly blog but thought that since I am just .8lbs away from the half way point I would share a recent comparison pic that I put together. I still need to lose 72lbs to reach my goal of weighing 150lbs but thought I would share anyways

I don't know if I can say I have any "lessons learned" but I just know what worked for me. I have always been told I can be pretty stubborn so giving up, falling off the wagon as such or not succeeding just simply isn't an option. This has allowed me to discover my will power is alot better then I expected. I just made the decision to stop eating crap (take out 4-5 days wk, chips, bars etc), stop eating late at night, & to include more fruit, veggies & fish in my diet. I stopped eating bread entirely until July when I now allowed myself one hamburger a week (found a great low cal tasty burger). We still have take out but its once a week, extremely strict on that & I don't have Mcds or something like that. I choose Swiss Chalet when possible as its lower sodium/calories then most options. Otherwise our meals are made up with fish or chicken. Its not about denying yourself 100% but its about portions & don't go overboard on the treats. I didn't allow myself to have a treat unless it was a special occasion (my recent vacay, my kids bday). I don't do weekly or monthly treat days, there is no need for me to do so. There is other things I am doing that works for me, any of you are welcome to add me as a friend. I am more then happy to support & motivate my friends as long as you log in daily so I can do so :-)0 -

This is only since joining MFP. I joined on Feb 9 & started Feb 11. I have no clue why I've been able to lose 72lbs in 6mths, I am not obsessive about exercise, right now I walk only & aim for 4-5 days a week, sometimes I get that in, others don't come close. But I am always good about my food, no cheating, no going over my calories just yet (I still get 1630 a day) & no excuses. I do child care full time so I am on my feet alot which helps keep me active on non exercise days. I just think my body was ready for it to go. I am only 32 yrs old (33 in 2wks), 5'4 & I started out at 295lbs!! Thats alot of weigh on my frame. I've been lucky that so far I've never hit a plateau, I've never not lost. I had 2 weeks of .4 & .6lbs lost, otherwise its been 1-3lbs depending on what kind of week I have. I do try to mix it up though, when we first started we were doing elliptical & I was doing the Just Dance 4 workouts a few times a week, then weather got better & I started walking as much as I could fit it in. Now that Fall/Winter is around the corner, it will be eventually less walking & back to the elliptical. I use to do 20mins, curious to see how much I can do now.0 -
Bravo! Keep up the great work. You look wonderful!0
