Getting in shape before college-support needed!

Hey, so I'm currently a Senior in high school, and although the year has only just started I really want to step things up a notch. Before I go off to college I want to be more intelligent, more socially adept (or less socially awkward!) and obviously, healthier!

I really want to prove to myself that I can be healthier, but I have a bad habit of starting to be healthy and giving up because I don't really have the support I need (I won't get into it, but suffice to say my friends and family can't offer the support I need).

So I would love to add anyone who can just offer me a bit of encouragement (of course I'll do the same) and help me achieve my goals

I'll encourage you to the very best of my ability. I am so proud of you that you are doing this while you are young. Being in a brand new social situation (like college) is hard enough without having any self-esteem issues. The closer you get to your goal, the higher your confidence in yourself will be. That's the real benefit I think of dieting-getting healthy and getting in shape.
  • I'm with ya girl! I'm headed off to grad school next fall and I want to be the best me I can before then. I'm here to support you :)

  • I'm in the same situation. I'm starting another semester in college in a couple weeks and being unhealthy and overweight has not been easy. I would love to help you and anybody else out! good luck everybody! :)
