Something that really bugs me . . .

Often times someone will post an interesting topic, just to get a reply like "Not again," or "Haven't we seen this before?"

The thing that bugs me is just because you've seen it before doesn't mean everyone has.

There are new people joining this site everyday, so it's new to them. I would like to politely suggest that if you've read the same topic before, and you have no interest in joining the discussion, please refrain from commenting that the topic has been posted before.

Please keep in mind that for many people everything is new, no matter how many times you've seen it. K?

Thanks.

I agree. New people should be banned.

And what exactly do you want to have happen here?

    These are public forums.

People are not here for the same reasons.

This is "chit-chat, fun, and games," so many people are here to chi-chat, have fun, and play games.

    Sooooooo . . . . In. Until I'm out.

I agree with the OP. :P
  • OP, you know what really bugs me (or scares me) is your profile pic. Since we are sharing opinions.

hmm 5 replies, and no one's played the "use the search function" card yet ...

    I'm in:

    Use the search function.

Or, you could just ask again ... we generally play nice!

Would it be politically correct to ask folks to perform a simple search on past topics that may eventually lead to the intended answer without polluting the threads with the same crap over and over?

I know I personally never get sick of reading a good "what are macros" thread.

Well there IS always the search function.

Or going back one page (or even just reading the same page) to see the exact same question has already been asked.

The sad part is that there is a minority of people here who have advice that is worth anything, so unless they bother sharing their views, the thread is filled with impressive levels of derp.

. . . at least you people have a great sense of humor. My favorite response was to ban new people . . . problem solved.
