Hi and welcome to mfp! What I did when I first started is:
1) recorded my weight and measurements
2) recorded what I ate for the day
3) recorded my exercise for the day
4) read and respond to blogs
5) add friends
Good luck on your journey! Hope this is helpful0 -
Hi there, i agree with heyjude78, i find tracking my food every day very useful, once you have worked out your calorie intake for the day. You can plan your meals with that in mind. My average day is = A bowl of fruit and fibre with skimmed milk, lunch can be a tuna & light mayo sandwhich, or baked poato with light cheese and light coleslaw, and dinner my fave is a salmon steak with stirfried veg and noodles. But you need to track everything especially at the start! I also stock up on low fat crisps, yoghurts and cereal bars to have as a treat instead of the usual biscuits. Also don't stress if you go over your cals a little now and again but just don't do it too often!
Goodluck !!!0
