I almost completed Insanity this year, I started on April 1 and only had 10 or so days left, but I had to quit due to knee pain. I am young, had no prior knee pains, wore supportive shoes, and worked out on carpeted areas, but it still bothered my knees. The first 4 or 5 days you will be really sore, especially in your legs. But then I started to really enjoy it and I saw the progress I was making with the exercises, not so much the scale. I initially gained about 4 pounds, but by the middle of the second month I lost those 4 pounds and one additional pound. I didn't really see that much of a loss in inches, but I did go down a jean size. After each workout you will be tired and covered in sweat, I think that just doing Insanity should be enough, at least for your first round. My view on Insanity is mixed, I did enjoy the workouts that I was able to do with just my body, but I didn't enjoy the knee problems and the lack of results.0

the first week was the worst. then it was up and down after than for a bit. I didn't get to complete the 2nd month though. I lost probably 5lbs in that month I did, and I never missed a day, ate healthy, and did additional weight lifting. Yet I know other people who did it everyday ate healthy and what not and lost almost 20 lbs.0

I was hoping for greater results. I started Insanity at almost 150, and since I am short I had a lot of weight to lose. With eating 1700 a day and burning about 700 (according to HRM) I should've dropped a lot of weight or inches. My cousin, who was already at a normal weight, lost 10 pounds doing Insanity. After busting my butt for 1.5 months, losing just 1 pound and going from a size 13 to 11 wasn't the most encouraging.0
