When your trying to log in your exercise burn for the day when your done with your day, what do you log it under. I tried typing in P90X but nothing came up to choose. How do you log in your exercise for the day?

You have to go to the "cardiovascular" section of the exercise section and add it in manually. You will need a HRM with a "calories burned" function to know how much you burned.

If you don't have a HRM you could log the resistance training days as "Circuit Training" and you can log Plyo and "aerobics, High Impact". These will just give you rough estimates a HRM is the best way to estimate caloric burn.

P90X is a pretty good program, I did it twice and I did see results. With regards to a heart rate monitor, if you have a target in your area they sell a watch in the sports/athletic section called Sportline. It is a regular watch with a HRM built in. What I did when doing P90 was every 5 minutes or so hit the button and it automatically takes a heart rate...It will keep track of the approx total calories burned while exercising. It is around $50.

This is what I did too.... And I love my HRM, then there's no guessing how many calories you've burned (during any exercise). I just did P90X last night for the first time with it.

I do Zumba and I researched how many calories on line you burn per hour and that is what I use for my calorie count

I have the Sportline and I got it at Walmart. No complaints here. I think mine was under $40.

before I got my HRM I low balled my calories burned anywhere from 200-275 calories per workout. My dog ate my chest strap and I recently just bought my FT4 Polar for 89 on Amazon. Now I know what I am burning. But I enter everything in P90x Chest and Back (click add exercise not listed) ect... then it will be there for you

remember thats just estimates especially if you eat those calories back. I did insanity and it said you burned 1000 calories Um not a chance when I wore my HRM it was just 250-300 for 45 minutes. Same thing with P90x they advertise you burn so many last night in an hour of plyo I just burned 575.

I want to take a Zumba class simply because I like to dance might have to go on a Saturday morning to do it.

I've typically burned between 550-900 calories for a 40 minute Insanity workout and 1100 for a P90X Plyo workout. THe weight workouts usually burn between 500-600. This is using a HRM.

Shows exactly that everyone burns differently. I used to be able to get my Heart rate up with no problem and the fitter I get its even harder cause my resting is getting lower. I was huffing it last night too and still only burned 575.

Wow. There's obviously a big differences in what people burn. Granted I am a shorter guy - 5'8" & around 144lbs.

I use a HRM (Bowflex) and I consistently burn about 250 for resistance P90X workouts, about 300 for Plyo, & about 75 for ARX. In fact, I now do running for 45 minutes instead of Kenpo because I can burn around 400 doing that & only about 200 during Kenpo.

No kidding! (such a difference). I just did P90X-Plyometrics w/ my HRM for the first time last night & burned 558 calories. (And p.s., not cool that you're the same height & weight as me - tharrop)
