Overweight and unsure about workouts!

I have a question. I am overweight and I was wondering how much cardio should I be doing a week?

    It depends how fast you want to lose the weight. The more you do, the faster you lose. BUT, doing too much too soon can cause injuries or burn-out. A typical beginner's routine is to start with 10 minutes of vigorous exercise like fast walking 6 days a week, or 20 minutes every other day. Then add a minute or 2 per workout until you are at 30 minutes 6 days a week, or 45-60 min. 3 days a week. It's better to do 5-6 days a week if you can.
