Exercise with broken collar bone?

So 2 years ago I broke my collar bone in a car accident, went to the doctor yesterday and found out it didn't heal correctly and I have to have a plate and screws put in. The doctor told me to take it easy on that area of my body, I have been exercising on it but it has caused discomfort and the bones have a little movement. So my question is would you please suggest some exercises I can do that don't involve the movement of my left arm for now and after surgery. Thank you in advance.

You can do leg exercises, or walking. treadmill with increased incline or the bike would be good0

You could do an elliptical without using the arm part. You wont burn as many calories but you will still be getting some exercise. I second the idea of a recumbant bike as well. My other thought would be some exercise DVD's or wii fit games, that way you can control how much you use that arm without feeling silly.0
