Bingeing and bulimia

Hi (anyone), I'm having a major issue with bingeing... I got down to 115lbs last year and have binged my way back up to 124lbs over the past 12 months. I have had to spend 4 hours on the treadmill tonight to make up for my day of gorging. I need help/support with my bulimia and am feeling completely lost and alone.
Also, i'm having surgery next month (16th sept, breast uplift & enlargement.) and was wondering if anyone would know if laxative abuse and regular diet pill use (ephedrine) would have any effect on anesthetic/recovery? Also, just to note that I know cosmetic surgery will not ease my body dysmorphia, but it will check one thing off the list of things to worry about. Sometimes I feel so screwed up I think i'm better off ending it all. Sorry to unload on whoever stumbles across this.

I often find myself bingeing, but at least these days i never purge anymore. I think you're really brave to go through what you do and unfortunately we just need to tell ourselves to stop eating. It's impossible i know, but we can do it. Good luck.0

just make sure your doctor/surgeon knows about your diet pill usage, please don't end it all, don't let your bulimia and dysmorphia ruin your life, your beautiful and worth so much more, just stay strong and try and look for a specialist counsellor to help you get over your unhealthy relationship with food, good luck and stay positive (: xx0

I really don't want to sound insensitive but it seems you have pretty good insurance or funds I would talk to your Primary Doctor about these issues...and get the proper medical advice0

Please seek help, sweetheart, before the plastic surgery. Getting your thoughts in order is a much higher priority.
If you are feeling this low, please call 1-800-273-TALK

If you're not already in therapy, that should be your next step. I would also recommend forgoing the breast enlargement until you're in a healthier place psychologically. I promise you, larger breasts will not help you in any way, especially if you're to the point where you're feeling suicidal.0

Anything that you take including multi-vitamins can change the way you react in surgery so talking to the doctor to ensure you are healthy enough to do the surgery is very important.
Also the fact that you binge/purge is a huge problem, your body is under a great deal of stress from doing this for a long period of time and if you are trying to recover it will still be under a great amount of stress so I would suggest not doing the surgery but getting some professional help (therapy or counselling) and sign up with a registered dietician so they can help you get on track and healthy enough to have minimal chance of problems related to cosmetic surgery such as breast enhancement/lift.0 -

Yes, your drug dependency will likely be problematic in your surgery. That said, I agree with others: Please seek help. You can google for free or local mental health centers in your local area. You don't need to end your life to ease the misery - you are strong enough to seek help and work your way through this.0

I am a recovered binge eater. If therapy doesn't work for you I recommend reading Brain Over Binge by Kathryn Hansen. Or you can check out her blog which highlights the main points if the book.0

Please seek help.
I have struggled with those exact issues and became bulimic at the age of 12. (I've been pretty okay for a year or so now)
I ruined my teeth and I am paying a ton of money to fix them.
I ruined the lining of my stomach and gained a lot of weight.
I remember being underweight and seeing pictures of myself thinking how HUGE I was, going back now and seeing how TINY I was (and how BIG I am now! ha)
It's not the way you want to live your life. And not everyone can get better on their own. I wish I had the capability of getting therapy when I started out.
I know that personally I am on this site because it is NOT hopeless, and there are healthier and safer ways to achieve fitness and beauty. You need to work on YOU. You are absolutely stunning and you just need help to see what you actually look like. Please reconsider your operation until you have made peace with yourself. If you hate yourself now, you're still going to hate yourself after.
Please message me if you need someone to talk to...0 -

This is an excellent book.
Also, I am a bulimic in recovery. I got counseling and continually do a lot of research, read a ton of books, attend OA meetings, and take SAM-e for depression. All of these combined have helped me get back to recovery. There are so many things you can do to stop feeling hopeless. Having cosmetic surgery is not a good idea for you at this time. I'm not saying don't do it at all, but maybe you could consider postponing it until you are in a better place mentally, physically, and emotionally.
PM me if you have any questions, and best of luck.0
