What type of band?
My HRM is a Garmin, which I sync with Digifit on my iPhone, that is linked to my MFP account.
I also have a Fitbit Flex which tracks my steps, calories, activity etc that is linked to my MFP.
Just a couple of ideas...0 -
Band? Do you mean heart rate monitor?
You need to get one that will sync with your particular phone. Then you use one of the apps that MFP has partnered up with to track your calories. There should be a list somewhere on this site or in the MFP app that shows all their affiliated applications. Personally I use Digifit's Icardio for android devices. I got my HRM on amazon for ~$60. It's made by Polar. There are different versions for android or ios, make sure you get one that works with your device.0 -
Seriously, BodyMedia Fit ALL THE WAY. Love this thing.... its changed my dietary outlook! Its made it EASIER to diet.... you can see how any little activity or event affects your body and its actually raised my everyday calories a lot and making my progress way more consistent and easier! Bodymedia Fit Link syncs to my phone and I can see it every minute where my calories are at, I can print the most incredible reports with averages and progress and comparisons... four page reports!
I would never suggest anything more for anybody trying to lose weight and manage their diets/lifestyles than the bodymedia fit. Its also the most accurate on the market, with I think 5000 data points a second or minute? Love this thing...
I'll never again diet without it.
P.S. I even like to see how my calorie burns spike when I'm startled, when I run for a second.... when I got my wisdom teeth pulled... ha ha0 -

Might I also add, its shown me that during just one day at work I burned FOUR THOUSAND calories...
of course, that was an unusual record... but boy was I working hard that day! If I had just been using MFP... it wouldn't have known about an extra 1500 calories I burned than I'm supposed to at my size and weight!0 -
I have an iPhone 3GS (hoping to get a galaxy s4 in a couple of months).
Yes ideally heart moniter band as I just started back at the gym today and see so many people with bands on. Thought I will get one to sync with MFP.0 -
