My name is Amy - I have been an MFP member on and off for the last few years... I live on a pretty extreme roller coaster of weight loss. I go through cycles where I almost obsessively do everything the right, healthy way, and then just taper off until I am doing it all the absolute opposite and undoing all of my progress. This is my third time joining MFP... and because of some major recent life changes, I think I may finally be ready to actually change my lifestyle and be healthy. [:
My question at this point is about calorie allotment. If you go over your calories for one day by, say, 2000 or so, do the calories you consumed carry over into the next day? I'm curious as to whether or not any extra that you consume should be subtracted from your next day's allotment, or if one should kick up their exercise regimen for that day, or whole week, to make up for the extra calories. Any insight into this would be much appreciated.

You sound like me. When I first started this, I refused to drink anything but water or eat ANYTHING that was over, like, 300 calories. I was killing myself (mentally), so now I think I've reached a happy medium. We'll see. Anyway, good luck with this. I hope some people answer your question, because it's a good one--I've wondered that myself. It doesn't SHOW any carrying over...you start over each day.0
