ok MFPM I need some help on recording something..i went to the gym yesterday and when I got done working out I went in the sauna for 20 min. And steam room for 15 min. My friend had told me that these rooms are helpful in removing calories..so how do I go about putting it in the database. I have searched for it and it tells me no such thing..i just wanna see exactly how many calories you really burn sitting in there..ne help or advice is appreciated!!

I think it's a glitch.. I just entered and it said 462 calories for 45 minutes. I would try again later or in a few minutes.0

i suggest looking up online how much someone of your weight gains on average in each the steam room and the sauna and then adding them into "my exercise" (kinda like "my foods" when you cant find a food you have in the house, its exactly the same) add it in and then from then on its in your "my exercise" database hope this helped!0

I do saunas too but only to relax muscles after lifting weights. I get real tense after so long then the sauna cures me right up!
Unfortunatly, I heard the same thing about it burning calories. So after much googling and asking a fitness training that it is a myth. You are only sweating and sweating more does not equal more calories burned. Sauna and steam rooms are great for relaxation and losing water weight (by sweating) but once you drink water then the weight is back on! Saunas and steam rooms are good for helping blood flow as well (since you will be relaxed) and they say it helps speed up your metabolism (I get mixed reviews on that one). So over all its good your doing it to help your body repair what is being "damaged" by working out. Though overall it does not burn calories that should be logged.
Once again I am no expert these are just things I researched and asked about. I could be wrong (so could the other guys too though )0 -
