I logged onto this site about 6 weeks ago and was doing really well - lost 2lbs and was really positive.
Then i had a party and had lots to drink and eat and i lost my way completely. I put back on the 2lb i lost.
I have still been exercising but not watching the calories.
I do this all the time - Im really committed and careful and it starts to go well then bam i mess it up.
I think the problem is i dont have that much to lose so its easy to think i look ok it doesnt matter if i eat this masive piece of cake

1. You are NOT crap.
2. It sounds to me like you have gotten yourself into a nasty little cycle. (I'm good for that sort of thing.)
Perhaps some daily affirmations or something would help? I know, it sounds a bit dorky, but they work, at least for me. My latest being, "I will be a happier, more positive me." 5-10 times when I wake up. I'm normally a grouch and slow to get going in the mornings, and after about two weeks, I'm really seeing a difference. It's almost like I'm redirecting myself before I get into my usual am snit.
Good Luck, and don't give up!0 -
On Saturday night I had 7 drinks and came home and ate 2 cups of pasta, cookies, milk and was feeling like a screw up. Next day I was up 6lbs from where I was. After 3 days I am down 8lbs from where I was pre the binge drinking. Don't give up. You have to take into consideration that most of what you drink your body will just store as a liquid.0

Hi
I am feeling exactly the same way! I too do not want to lose much (prob about half a stone at the most) and i will be really motivated first week, watch what i eat and excercise. Then something will come up like going for dinner with friends etc and i lose the motivation! I still excercise 4 times a week but just don't watch what i eat. This has been on and off for months and i havent lost any weight due to this, which can be very frustrating as i no it is my own fault! I just wish i could have more will power! I feel when i am watching what i eat that i am depriving myself which is probably why i fall off the wagon!
I am glad i am not the only one feeling like this!! xx0 -
I find myself thinking about people who have lots more than me to lose and the sheer willpower those people have to keep going and it really gives me a kick up the backside xxx0

The fact that you've come back to try again means your far from crap! We all have off days, my longest lasted a fortight(!) But you can do it! Every new day is a new start.
Good luck!0 -
I do this too. I've lost about 17 kg and I only have 3 or 4 to go but despite being really committed and seeing it work for my initial loss, I just can't get it together for the last little push! I start every day with such good intentions, but halfway through I'll just go 'ahh, one butter sandwich won't hurt, and neither will a glass of milk.. I won't have milo'.
But, every day I try again. Thats all you can do.
I'm sending you a friend request, you don't have to accept, I just thought we might be able to help each other.0
