Was watching extreme weight loss with Chris Powell and remembered "hey, didn't he get famous from helping some dude lose a whole bunch of weight?" so i put google to work and found this video about the guy he helped lose 400lbs. It was amazingly inspiring. The guy he helped lose weight previously didn't have any friends, no job, no money, nothing in his life. Now he has everything

Then, saw in the related videos the title was "650 lb virgin back to the gym". Back? BACK?! He just lost 400 lbs! Why would he need to go back to the gym? He's lost hundreds of lbs, has a girlfriend now, is good friends with chris powell and is now a personal trainer himself! Back what?
Then...

Oh god that hurt. And to watch his personal youtube channel. This one of him in a nursing home. He also is unemployed and isn't with his girlfriend anymore.

It just makes it all the more obvious: LOSING WEIGHT ISN'T THE ANSWER TO ALL YOUR LIFE PROBLEMS. You can lose it a million times, it doesn't matter. I've probably lost more than a few hundred lbs in my lifetime but it always comes back. It's important to get your mind right and be just as healthy mentally as you are physically. You can lose weight and all you'll be is a skinny person with depression and that's not what anybody wants.
And if anybody wants to roll by David Smith's youtube channel and show him a little support, by all means. Poor guy. It's not too late for him to put his life back together. Again

Yeah, I've heard of this guy too but I didn't know he had a youtube channel. David's story is really sad to hear, especially after he was doing so well. What you said is completely true.... weight loss isn't everything. I think a lot of people who are unhappy with themselves expect butterflies and rainbows once they lose all the weight, but unfortunately that's hardly the case.0

I remember his story and I followed part of it on some cable show when he went to a bar for the first time to meet girls. This is a shame that he regained 300 pounds back, but gaining weight back after a dramatic weight loss is common. So many people gain the weight back because of serious emotional issues that need to be addressed.
David has lost the weight before, so hopefully he loses it again. I bet he's not a virgin anymore though. :laugh:0
