Working with my PT yesterday, and he had designed a circuit that he's been getting several of his clients to do including various lifts, squats with weights, push ups, shuttle runs and jumps. One of the lifts particularly was a killer, and I did think I was never going to get to the end of it, never mind finish the circuit! However I did - lots of sweat, a bit of bad language, and a minor freak out but I did. Afterwards he told me that other people had done the circuit in times from 7 and a half minutes to over 12. The person who did 7 and a half is a class leader at the gym, someone else did just over 8 but really struggled with the push ups. I was 9 minutes - and he complimented me on my push ups!!!!!! I know its not about being better than anyone else, just my own fitness, but as the person who was always last in PE at school, it feel really good to not be the slowest!

Wow congrats, that is ANSI to be proud of, it's things like this that make all the hard work worth it and gives an extra boost of confidence and motivation. :-)

I love your 'ANS'! I'm not super competitive, but it does help to boost the ego and give you 'strength' when you see you're not at the back of the pack. I'm a beginner runner and my goal is always to NOT be the first to have to stop running and start walking, and NOT to be the last to finish. Since I could barely run a minute when I started, everything else is a bonus.

Kudos to you for the hard work that's gotten you to this place!!!

Was wondering what ANSI was - lol!

This NSV - nearly as good as wearing a size 8 dress to family wedding a couple of weeks ago! At family wedding 3 yrs ago I was in size 24 top, 18 trousers and felt rubbish. There is only 1 photo of me, hiding behind my son. Not this time!!!
