Today I could've cried (tears of happiness)

Last night i was having an off night. I was feeling down because although I've lost 72 lbrs since January I really still don't feel I can see the difference I was hoping to see (self image issue I'm sure). I did a lot of tossing and turning and reminded myself that I'm not on a race to lose weight (although I'm close to my goal of 85 lbs lost)..that I'm accomplishing a lifestyle change that will continue long after any weight loss plan.

Anyhow, this morning I came to work and got a phone call from one of my coworkers. She said she wanted to tell me something because she thought I was the only one who would care. She was soooo excited and happy to tell me that she has lost 10 pounds over the last few weeks. I was extremely happy and excited for her too. Then she told me she wanted to thank me.that i was her inspiration. She told me when she saw how great I was doing, she decided why not her to. I thanked her and told her how happy and pleased i was for her. And yes, we can all do it if we that's what we choose to do. Now I know we will support each other.

Suddenly by upset last night seems so irrelevant..i'm happy for how I'm doing, for my coworker and now for knowing that i've beeen an inspiration. Definate motivation so stay true to what I'm doing.

Just wanted to share this with everyone.

  • That is so awesome. Thank you for sharing it. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own life that we don't realize that we are influencing and motivating others. What a blessing. Is there a way you can pay that forward? Can you let someone know that they are influencing your life that they may not know about it? I am going to send a note to someone who inspires me who may not realize. Thanks for the motivation. Good Luck on your Journey!
