So, what's yours?

When I needed to lose weight for my wedding - many years ago - it took me 3 months and I was down to the size I wanted to be. After I had my daughter and wanted to lose all of the weight I put on going buckwild on eating anything while I was preggers, it took me about 4-5 months. It seemed I had a lot more motivation then, even though I can't stand to look at myself now! Now, it's just not as "easy" or running as smoothly...

However, I recently discovered some newfound motivation in a slew of recent pictures my sister took of me a few weekends ago when at a waterpark - they are actually a whole series of paparazzi-type snapshots that my sister posted on Facebook because she's a snotlicker - while I was in a bikini that I didn't think I looked "all that bad" in. :noway:

Turns out, I was wrong. My self-image plummeted to where it needs to be, hopefully, when I saw those pics.

So, my motivation is now taped to my desk at work, and at home on the refrigerator and cupboards...ha!

What's your motivation?

My motivation is a combo of age (now or never),a couple pictures, ugh! & the biggest motivator...health.

If that combo didn't cause me to walk the line, what would? I'm a super slow loser, but at least ,I'm not gaining.

I just came to the realization that I am the only person that can make the change for me. I am the only person that can give my body the exercise it needs. I am the only person that can feed my body healthy. No one else can do it but me! If I don't take care of my body no one else will!

Don't laugh but....my motivation is to take Christmas pictures this year. My husband and I have been married four years this November. We've never taken "professional" pictures because I've been too embarrassed. So my goal is to lose enough weight and inches by December for family portraits!!

My motivation is a picture, as well...but more of an internal picture. I've never been able to think of myself as an "athlete," to be able to say it and believe it. So I have this vision of being able to say "I'm an athlete" and keep a straight face while doing it. When I can do that, I figure I'll be in pretty good shape.
