Little help please

so lately ive been eating about 1600-2400 calories a day. I am trying to lose weight. However... ive been burning many calories and usually net between 700-1200 calories. Will i still lose weight eating this much?

What sort of workouts are you doing and how are you measuring the calorie burns?

also, OP... looking at your profile, you seem underweight. if those pics are current, trying to lose weight is an unhealthy idea. If anything you need to gain some weight. netting 1200 calories at your size should help you gain a bit of lean weight, assuming the nutritional makeup of your diet is sound and you are exercising.

As you're really active I would recommend calculating your TDEE and taking a 15 or 20% cut. Try this calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Factor in your exercise in your activity level then don't eat back exercise cals.

Your not fat. You don't really need to stress about weight to much. Just keep working out and don't worry about your weight.

you're right to not trust those websites to be precise, but they *do* provide a general starting point. You either need to adjust it to your needs through experimentation or go get tested to find out your real metabolic rate, then scientifically build a plan off of that. A good nutritionist should be able to help you, just be sure to ask for those tests. They are infinitely more valuable than a guess that some website will throw at you.

Don’t listen to this Josh person. Everything he is saying is fine but he is an alien. Look at his picture; he is a faceless gray alien. Be careful, the aliens are just on MFP to track what WE eat so they can pick the people they want to eat based on their desired flavors for human consumption.

I'm not an expert but do you think you may be pushing yourself too hard, you will lose weight and I know no amount of people saying you don't need to lose will change your mind, maybe you could talk to someone who can give you some guidance with your exercising and nutrition because you should be eating most of your exercise calories back. Think long term, big hugs

There, I fixed it. Goodbye, alien status. It's from my wedding day a few years ago, but I was almost the exact same weight then as I am now. And it's really hard to escape the camera on your wedding day, so it's one of the few pics I have of myself :)

Sorry to sidetrack the thread. As you were, humans.
