i was looking at preworkout supplements
and they all have artifical ingredients and sucralose
also red lake 40 whatever that is
why would something in a "nutrition shop" sell these products?
why do companies make these products when health is the ultimate desire?
for my body to be the best it can be, i have to sacrifice health with nasty ingredients?
i dont understand why theres not more products that have quality ingredients top to bottom
you have to toss in a bunch of junk at the end for what reason?
why cant they make something that works AND is healthy as possible
i will pay top dollar for it
maybe i should just stick with bananas
but everyone at the gym drinks these pink, blue, neon colored fluids
im cheap and simple and wonder if im missing out

Bars packed with chemicals allow people to reach the macros they want easier. 20 grams of protein? Well, to avoid as many carbs yet to have it taste good, it's going to be loaded with artificial sweeteners. And to look moderately appetizing, it will have artificial colors. For some people it's worth it, for some it isn't.

Quite frankly, don't put that in your body if you don't want to. You're not missing out on anything. It's a personal choice. If you eat the right foods, you don't need any supplements.

Same reason why the grocery store has such strange artificial products in the "health/diet/fitness" isle.

Maybe something from Onnit would be more your style? The more natural and higher quality the product, the more costly it is.

Most people can probably get enough protein from food if they try hard, but as a pescatarian, I often find it difficult to get more than 70grams a day.

why so many supplements have sucralose/artificial ingredient ?

Because those ingredients have been declared by expert scientists to be Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the Food & Drug Administration. Any harm from them is very minimal and rare in normal doses. Sucralose, for example, is safer than sorbitol, which is a natural sweetener. I would not assume that "natural" is synonymous with "healthy". Some people think drinking a quart of fruit juice a day is healthy since the 4 ounces of sugar in it is "natural". That's still too much sugar. It would be healthier to have 1/2 ounce of High Fructose Corn Syrup instead.

Anyway, workout drink products are completely unnecessary for most people. If you eat normal food instead, you probably won't notice a difference.
