lack of motivation

Does anyone else find it hard to work out when it is 90+ degrees outside. I live in the Midwest and I seem to loose all motivation when it's above 90. It's so much easier when I don't sweat just walking down stairs. today at 7am its 75deg and 95% humidity. Bleh

I workout in a gym but I also run 3x a week. When I run in the summer, I try to go really late at night or really early in the morning. When it's that humid it's not enjoyable anyways. When it gets real bad I hit the gym just for my HIIT, but then again gym is 2 mins walk from my place.
When just breathing makes you sweat like in a sauna, it means you need to go somewhere that has AC lol0 -
I am about to join the a gym and I purposely waited for September because I knew that jumping on board in July or August would not be a great starting time for me. I hope it is easier next summer when I am closer to goal but right now I truly cannot imagine heading to the gym on a 90 degree day! Fortunately I have yard work that keeps me moving in the summer so we will see what next year is about. I might have the ability by then to pick up some outside fun type activities that get the exercise in. I think my goal will be hiking and outdoor fun stuff during the heart of the summer versus going to the gym quite as often as I will in the fall, winter and spring.0

I totally understand! We had a couple days last week where it was super hot and humid, and I just broke my workout into segments- 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there- throughout the day, and I blasted the fan so it was right on me as I worked out. I also went to the gym where it's nice and air conditioned, and the gym I go to has a pool too and I take full advantage of it! You can get a great workout in the pool!0

I live in Ga and I understand your lack of motivation completely. I leave for work before 5 am during the week so mornings are out of the question. I get home and it's 90 degrees and it takes REAL willpower to go out and run for 30 minutes.
The only motivation I can tell you is that it really seems to melt the pounds off quickly when I run outside and it is hot. It is not fun, but the satisfaction on scale is my motivation. I've found I have to reduce my pace when it is very humid/hot.0
