I have to buy new hiking pants, mine literally fell off (VICTORY!!!) but I really want a pair that are of course durable, functional , no cotton, bit of stretch and all that good stuff but I'd kind of like to look hot! I hike with my hubby and I'd like to feel like I look good.

Yoga pants are just not durable enough.

Ladies any recommendations?

If that's too pricey, check Old Navy & Gap.

    Check out REI.com

I think my hiking pants are some of the most flattering pants I own. They have numerous cuts, for differing body-types, and the are VERY durable (or at least the sets that I have are). They aren't cheap, but they are durable, and they really are made for hiking (ie: pockets, ties, etc) which makes up for the price.

Alternatively, www.llbean.com and www.cabellas.com are good choices as well.

    (<
and I'm wearing them in my pic!)

For my outdoor gear I now only buy Macpac. They're a NZ company that make high quality camping equipment and clothing.
    **Highly recommended**

I'm still trying to decide what to order, but picked up a pair of Cloumbia Passo Alto pants on clearance, they will do for the last few weeks of summer (pretty lightweight), but for summer hiking they will be ok. Tomorrow is a hard day on the trail so we'll see how they hold up. The store said if they don't hold up I can return them no problem.

they are a nice snug fit, my hubby sure noticed them on me which was my plan all along :)
