Yuck...put on 1lb

My stupid tooth again. For those who haven't already seen my endless rants about my toothache I've had it for over a week now. Seen the dentist, got antibiotics, on co codamol and ibuprofen 4 times a day, having it out in a few weeks but in the meantime it's near constant pain. Can't even blow my nose without sitting holding my face for half hour waiting for pain to go. So you can imagine what happens when I eat. I'm constantly hungry and there are points in the day where I have no pain and I can eat, so I end up stuffing my face. Doesn't help that it's the school holidays so I've been out and about with the kids so fast food ends up being inhaled.

Exercise has gone out of the window.

Just so annoyed as I was really making progress for once and now this...up 1lb...this sucks.

Rant over!

Weight can and does fluctuate over the day/week, if you're over analysing 1lb maybe you need to step back a bit? Toothache sucks :flowerforyou:

Thanks, I can get a little blinkered. Maybe stay away from the scales until I'm all sorted.

Brush it off. Find what I did wrong. Hate it when that 1 pound gain, but gotta keep moving.

Our weight fluctuates all of the time and 1lb is nothing so don't dwell on it otherwise you may just give up. You can be focused, but you may have to change your mindset. It's unfortunate that you have toothache. I wish you a speedy recovery :)

I sympathise about the tooth pain. Got my wisdom teeth thinking they're all smart, swelling half my face up and making my head/neck/mouth hurt. :(

The lb will go when you feel better, don't worry about it too much :)

Thanks for the replies. 6 months ago this would have had me on a slippery slope but not this time.

Thanks for giving some much needed perspective :-)

I can drop up and down 4 lbs in a day.

Relax! Stress hormones encourage fat gain.
